About Joanne Zeis, Founder of Patient Pathfinders
Joanne Zeis has dedicated 15+ years to helping people with chronic and rare diseases find the specialists and evidence-based information they need to move forward with treatment. In 2006, she received the American Medical Association's highest national award for a non-medically-trained individual -- the Citation for Distinguished Service -- in recognition of her strong informational support for people with Behcet's disease. Behcet's (beh CHETs) is a rare disease that affects approximately 20,000 people in the U.S., causing the inflammation of blood vessels anywhere in the body.
Joanne will never diagnose, treat, or provide medical or legal advice. She is a medical-information concierge, with expertise in online medical research and in plain-English translations of medical information.
Joanne is relentless in helping her clients reclaim a good life. Let Joanne and Patient Pathfinders uncover the facts, specialists, treatments and outcomes that can move you down the path to better health.
